Have You Ever Felt this Awkward?

This rates 9 out of 10 on the awkwometer. I have to admit that I felt like looking away several times. But it is too funny not to share. What would you do if you were walking down down a hall and someone tried to do this to you? Thanks, Andrew Hales, for making me blush.

Awkward? No. Creepy, yes. I am surprised that you find this funny. I think this guy needs therapy, rather than people encouraging his need to sneak up and touch people without their permission and in ways that they feel uncomfortable.
If someone accidentally does something like this, you can brush it off. But there is a completely different feeling of creepiness when someone is doing it intentionally.
For instance, in a store maybe someone turns around quickly, doesn't see you and accidentally bumps into you. They say sorry or excuse me, it is no big deal because you understand. However, if a stranger picks you out, follows you and then intentionally sneaks up behind you to "bump" into you, it is NOT funny.

Anonymous, I don't find creepiness funny, not in the least, but this video is not creepy to me at all. I think under certain circumstances, this kind of behavior could be creepy. However, I don't think that was Andrew Hales' intent. I believe his intent may be to show us our social boundaries, to present us with an enlightening social experiment, to show us awkwardness with humor, to have fun along the way. It was done completely in the open, so I don't see it as bad will. But I would agree that if a person did such a thing with malicious or selfish intent, that would be creepy—maybe even criminal—and worthy of our censure.

It's stupidly funny. But you know, a guy in my ward touched my rear end last weekend and I think he did it on purpose, because it felt like a caress. I was shocked and I understand he probably couldn't help himself, but I will never turn my back on him again and I hope I get the opportunity to lay him out one of these days. Because I'm still mad about it.
